Who is responsible for your information

Barbara Brafman-Price, a self-employed executive coach trading as Barbara Brafman-Price Coaching, is the data controller for personal information handled through this website and her coaching practice. You can contact Barbara about privacy at [email protected].

What information is collected

When you contact Barbara, this may include:

• your name and contact details;
• the content of your enquiry and related correspondence;
• confirmation that the website's anti-spam check was completed;
• a short reference noting which page or button on the website led you to the contact form, used only to understand which page prompted your enquiry;
• information needed to arrange or provide coaching services; and
• billing and transaction records if you become a client.

The website host also processes limited technical data, such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and timestamps, to deliver and protect the site.

Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views, broad information about how people reach and use the site, and page performance. Barbara and the website maintainer use its reports to understand how the site is working and decide what to improve.

Only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 records the pages you view, how you reached the site, broad device, browser and location information, and a random identifier stored in a cookie. It is not used to identify you by name.

Please do not include health information or other sensitive personal details in an initial website enquiry. If this information is needed later, Barbara will explain how it should be shared and handled.

Why the information is used

• to respond to enquiries and take steps you request before entering a contract;
• to arrange and provide coaching services under a contract;
• to keep records required by tax, accounting or other legal obligations;
• to operate and secure the website in Barbara's legitimate interests; and
• to measure and improve the website using Cloudflare Web Analytics; and
• with your consent, to measure visits with Google Analytics.

Barbara does not use enquiry information for marketing.

Barbara relies on her legitimate interests in maintaining, securing and improving the website for its basic analytics and operational checks. Google Analytics runs only on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page.

Who information is shared with

Information is shared only when needed with service providers that support website hosting, security, email, invoicing or payment processing, and with public authorities where the law requires it. Service providers may only use the information to provide their services and must protect it appropriately.

The website is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. Cloudflare also provides basic website analytics and the Turnstile anti-spam check, and sends contact-form messages to Barbara's email account. The form does not place enquiry details in a separate website database. Cloudflare may process information outside the United Kingdom under its Data Processing Addendum, which incorporates the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where required. If you become a client, Barbara will provide any additional information relevant to the invoicing, payment and coaching services she uses.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) processes the measurement data on Barbara's behalf as a processor under Google's data processing terms. Google may transfer that data to the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, and Google's terms also include standard contractual clauses. Google signals, advertising features and ad personalisation are switched off.

How long information is kept

Enquiry information is normally deleted within 12 months of the last contact, unless it is needed for an ongoing matter or becomes part of a client record. Client, contractual and financial records are kept for as long as needed to provide services, deal with possible claims and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Information that is no longer needed is securely deleted.

Cloudflare Web Analytics reports are available for the previous six months. Barbara and the website maintainer review these reports to decide what needs attention; they do not use them to build visitor profiles.

Google Analytics keeps user-level and event-level data for up to 14 months, after which it is deleted from detailed analysis. Barbara and the website maintainer use it to understand how the site is used, not to identify individual visitors.

Cookies and analytics

The site does not use advertising cookies. On your first visit, a notice asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing from Google loads until you choose Accept. If you choose Reject, or make no choice, Google Analytics does not run and sets no cookies. Either choice is stored in a necessary cookie, ewa_consent, for six months so you are not asked again on every page.

If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets two first-party cookies on elevatewithoutapology.com: _ga, which distinguishes browsers, and _ga_V5Y314FB3T, which keeps the state of a visit. Each lasts up to 2 years unless you remove it or withdraw consent. To withdraw, use Cookie settings, also linked at the foot of every page, and switch analytics off. Google Analytics then stops on the page and the _ga cookies are deleted.

Cloudflare Web Analytics runs for every visitor because its beacon does not store or read cookies or other browser storage, and it is not used for advertising or to follow you across other websites. The site does not load fonts from third-party services. Cloudflare Turnstile may use strictly necessary security technology on the contact form to distinguish people from automated abuse. It is not used here for advertising.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your information, object to its use, or receive a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis used.

To exercise a right, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how your information is handled.

Changes to this notice

This notice will be updated when the website, services or use of personal information changes. The latest version will always be published on this page.
